Central Beach,
the family beach
Welcome to Moliets Beach! In summer, holidaymakers flock here, drawn by the promise of a true seaside paradise. Moliets beaches fill with laughter, colorful parasols, and scattered towels. Located in the town center, Central Beach is Moliets’ main beach. Often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in Les Landes, it stretches for 1.5 km. The beach is cleaned every morning before swimmers arrive, ensuring the sand is always very clean. Believe us, it’s a real pleasure to lay your towel there.
At the main access point, there is a lifeguard station dedicated to swimmer safety. All summer, from 11 AM to 7 PM, lifeguards monitor the beach to prevent any danger to holidaymakers. The beach is equipped for people with reduced mobility. Tiralos are available at the first aid station. To add to the fun, there’s a children’s playground. Along the beach, holidaymakers looking for entertainment will find bars, restaurants, and shops located along the pedestrian Avenue de l’Océan and on Place de la Balise.
- Access via Avenue de l’Océan, with a large parking lot nearby (free). Our 5-star Camping Le Saint Martin has direct access to the beach. No need to take the car, a bike, or walk far to enjoy the joys of the sea.
Chênes Lièges Beach, the most intimate
South of the resort, in a preserved environment, Chênes-Lièges beach is more intimate and less crowded than the town center beach, but also more difficult to access. It can only be reached on foot or by bicycle via a path behind the dune and under the pine trees. It’s the locals’ little secret spot, away from crowds and lively beaches. No shops. No vendors. Just you, the ocean, and the waves. The beach is beautiful, and swimming is supervised in July and August, from 1 PM to 7 PM. Naturism is tolerated outside the supervised swimming area.
- Access via Moliets golf course, on foot or by bike, then walk 350 meters to reach the beach.
Courant d’Huchet Beach, Les Landes’ best-kept secret
North of Moliets-et-Maâ, the mouth of the Courant d’Huchet divides the beach into two areas: the town center beach on one side, and Courant d’Huchet beach on the other. Bordered by immense dunes, the latter has remained completely wild, untouched by construction. It can only be accessed on foot or by bike. At the mouth of the current, nature unfolds a palette of blues, golden sand, and the green of the forest. For photography enthusiasts and those who appreciate beautiful light, it’s an opportunity to capture stunning images! Many surfers have made it their haunt. The waves here are particularly powerful.
- Access from the picnic area on Rue de l’Embouchure. Please note that the beach is not supervised, and swimming is prohibited here due to strong currents. Dogs are not allowed, as the beach is within the perimeter of the Courant d’Huchet nature reserve.
