When it rains, let's go to the pool!
When the weather keeps you from the beach, don't worry, all is not lost. If you're going to get wet anyway, dive in and rediscover the joys of swimming at the pool! If you're staying at our 4-star campsite Le Saint Martin, you can enjoy the aquatic area with its covered and heated pool! At least you won't bring sand back into the car, and the kids will be as happy as fish in water!
A board game to brighten up rainy days
How to keep the kids busy when it rains? To beat boredom (and the rain), nothing beats a game of Monopoly, Scrabble, Uno, Trivial Pursuit Family, Carcassonne. So, don't forget to pack some board games for your holiday. A card game, pick-up sticks, bingo, or dominoes, they don't take up much space and they save rainy days!
An Escape Game, sheltered from the Landes drizzle
If the weather isn't cooperating, you can always lock yourselves in to find your way out... or not! That's the principle of an escape game, a life-sized escape experience where you are the hero. There's one very close to the campsite, in Saint-Michel-Escalus: Escape Land. You have one hour to escape an abandoned barn, flee a pirate ship, or foil the plans of Al Capone's henchmen. An unusual activity that will make you forget the rain!
A museum, a safe haven
To escape the rain, museums are an ideal refuge. In Les Landes, the choice is vast. Among our favorites, we can mention the Landes Traditions Museum in Lit-et-Mixe, The Helicopter Museum and the Borda Museum in Dax, or the House of the Lady of Brassempouy, a major prehistoric site in southwestern France. Visiting a Landes castle also offers a great alternative to museums.

When it rains outside, what could be more pleasant than taking some time for yourself? When it rains, children are worse than caged lions. To keep them busy, head to Fred's Park in Saint-Paul-lès-Dax! Over 500 m2 of indoor activities await the little ones who have energy to spare: play area, inflatable structures, slide, zip line, ball pits, and also a virtual reality lounge for older kids. No matter the rain, you can have fun indoors and let loose as much as you want!
