Holiday vouchers offer privileged access to a vast network of tourism and leisure professionals. Thanks to this payment method, you can increase your holiday and leisure budget, but you still need to know where and how to use or exchange them. Discover everything you need to know to make the most of them!
What are Holiday Vouchers?
ANCV holiday vouchers are payment instruments that allow families to cover part of their holiday and leisure expenses with merchants and service providers who accept this payment method. They can be used to pay for accommodation, certain restaurants, transport, sports and cultural activities, for the enjoyment of the whole family!
Who can benefit from holiday vouchers?
Employees, public sector workers (permanent or contract, active or retired), self-employed individuals, as well as employees of private employers can all benefit from holiday vouchers. To benefit from them and enjoy getaways all year round, talk to your employer!
How it works?
For individuals eligible for ANCV assistance, the employer covers part of the holiday vouchers and the employee covers another part. The actual value of the holiday vouchers is always higher than the price paid by the beneficiary. This is enough to give a little boost to your purchasing power!
These personalized payment instruments come in booklets with denominations of 10, 20, 25, and 50 euros. However, it is important to note that professionals are not required to give change. There are also dematerialized holiday vouchers: Chèque-Vacances Connect, usable only online. This digital version allows for payment to the nearest cent for purchases between 20 and 60 euros.
Good to know
Holiday Vouchers are valid for two years in addition to their year of issue. For example, a voucher issued in 2025 is valid until December 31, 2027. Once expired, you have until March 31 of the following year to exchange them for an equivalent amount.

Paying for highway tolls with holiday vouchers is possible!
It is also possible to pay tolls on French highways with Connect holiday vouchers. To do this, you just need to open a "Liber-t Vacances" account and credit your account with holiday vouchers, with a limit of €250 per year.
Groceries, train, fuel: what can you pay for (or not) with holiday vouchers?
It is not possible to pay for fuel, even for holidays, as petrol stations are not considered tourism professionals. The same applies to supermarkets. Indeed, grocery shopping is not considered a service. Therefore, you cannot pay for your shopping cart with holiday vouchers.
However, you can buy your train tickets directly online using dematerialized Holiday Vouchers (TGV INOUÏ, INTERCITÉS, and TER). Of course, you can also use your paper holiday vouchers in SNCF stores if you prefer. Similarly, many car rental agencies accept this payment method.
