The Accueil Vélo label, what is it?
The "Accueil Vélo" label is a national brand that guarantees cyclists a quality welcome, services, and equipment across all territories with tourist cycling routes in France. More than 7,000 partners benefit from it.
Established by the France Vélo Tourisme association and regional tourism committees, this label is awarded to various professionals: campsites, hotels, bed and breakfasts, bike rental companies, bike repair shops, restaurants, tourist offices... The label is awarded for 3 renewable years.
How to identify an Accueil Vélo provider?
The green cyclist-shaped logo displayed at the entrance of the establishment makes it easy to identify partner structures. It indicates a cycling stop where you will be well received.
An Accueil Vélo campsite guarantees you the following services:
- Location less than 5 km from a cycling route.
- Equipment adapted to cyclists' needs: secure bike shelter and repair kit.
- Warm welcome including practical information, informed advice, route suggestions, and weather forecasts, etc.
- Services specially designed for bike travelers: luggage transfer, laundry and drying facilities, bike rental and cleaning, etc.
Cycling in Landes: the Vélodyssée and the Scandibérique, two European cycle routes
Many Landes providers are committed to welcoming bike tourists. Indeed, two major European cycle routes cross the department of Landes.
- The Vélodyssée® (EuroVelo 1): a 1,200 km cycling route between Roscoff (Brittany) and Hendaye (Basque Country), including 160 km of coastal paths in the Landes territory: Biscarrosse, Mimizan, Vielle-Saint-Girons, Moliets, Vieux-Boucau, Hossegor, Capbreton, Tarnos. More info
- The Scandibérique (EuroVelo 3): a 1,700 km cycling route connecting Trondheim (Norway) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain), with over 170 km of route in Landes: from Gabarret to Saint-Laurent-de-Gosse, passing through Mont-de-Marsan and Dax. More info

In Landes, cycle routes also use greenways. These cycling routes are developed on dedicated paths and are reserved for non-motorized traffic.
- The Marsan and Armagnac Greenway: from Gabarret to Mont-de-Marsan (52.5 km)
- The Chalosse Greenway: from Dax to Saint-Sever (54 km)
- The Roquefort Landes Greenway: from Roquefort to Bourriot-Bergonce (20 km)
